International Topics Communication, Law & Technology

The origin of this e-book lies in the multidisciplinary course entitled “Communication, Law and Technology" offered for the first time by the Universidade Católica de Pernambuco (Catholic University of Pernambuco) in 2021. It acts as part of the university's goal of providing an international academic experience to its masters and doctoral students. The course was taught entirely in English, by the Professors Antonio Henrique Coutelo de Moraes (Linguistics Sciences), Clarice Marinho (Creative Industries), and Sergio Torres (Law) and the Teaching Assistant Gilvan Oliveira. It included lectures and seminars taught by world-class guest speakers – national and international academics and field experts from Brazil, the United Kingdom, the United States, México and Portugal. The students' contributions have been a fundamental part of our programme, and their coursework was hugely valuable for this e-book.
