Living in Contaminated Territories a Dossier on Pesticides in Cerrado Waterways

This Dossier, prepared using participatory methodologies for producing knowledge and involving involving Cerrado communities, researchers and local organizations, systematizes and analyzes data and information on the identification of pesticide residues in the waters of seven communities, especially those used in soy monocultures. The results show how the peoples of the Cerrado have experienced contamination of their bodies and territories on a daily basis, whether in the water used for drinking, cooking or in the water used in the fields and backyards, in the dams and lakes where the children play. By making ways of life unviable, pesticides are understood here as chemical weapons aimed at the Cerrado and its peoples.
