Environment and Climate Sustainability - Technical papers on adaptation finance, oceans, payment for ecosystem services, and waste and circular economy

The year 2024 presented alarming evidence of the impacts that climate change will bring. Brazil faced a historic flood in its southern region that directly affected 2.1 million people, and a drought of equallyhistoric proportions in the Amazon and Pantanal biomes isolated communities and cities and caused fires of enormous proportions. The situation is no different on the global stage, alerting everyone to the effects that average temperatures of 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels can bring to humanity. The climate crisis, added to the other ongoing environment crises (biodiversity, desertification, pollution and ocean acidification), demands ambitious and urgent action, led by G20 member countries.
